Non-subscription based scripts and services fall into these two sections: (1) PHP/CGI scripts that can be installed on your own site after one-time payment and (2) built-in affiliate programs with third-party payment processors that charge service fees only when there is a sale. We give in each category a link to the most popular and the best affiliate script/service.

1. iDevAffiliate - Based on PHP/MySQL: This is the one we use for our own affiliate program after switching from using GroundBreak's Ultimate Affiliate to this PHP/MySQL based script.

It is a PHP/MySQL software suite supporting various payment gateways, including major third-party payment processors such as PayPal, 2Checkout, PaySystems, etc. It tracks referrals by cookies and IP addresses. It produces static web pages that have the ID of the referring affiliate embedded in all internal URLs. All your affiliates' details are stored in a MySQL database.

2. Ultimate Affiliate - Based on CGI/MySQL: This was the one we used for our own affiliate program before we switched to iDevAffiliate in order to make the affiliate script integrate with our new billing software.

It is a PERL/CGI software suite supporting various payment gateways, including major third-party payment processors such as PayPal, 2Checkout, PaySystems, etc. It tracks referrals by cookies and IP addresses. It produces dynamic or static web pages that have the ID of the referring affiliate embedded in all internal URLs. All your affiliates' details are stored in a MySQL database.

With a knowledge of PERL/CGI and HTML you can customize virtually any page created by the script.

This script suite can easily handle recurring commissions, and has graphical stats for both you and your affiliates. It can handle up to twelve tiers of commissions.

3. ClickBank: built-in affiliate program for merchants using its payment gateway as a third party processor - ClickBank is essentially a third-party payment processor, but it comes with a built-in one-level affiliate program that automatically makes its entire members (vendors and merchants) to be your potential affiliates.

Using a patented script on their server called hop link, http://affiliateID.vendorID.hop.clickbank.net, ClickBank automatically connects merchants with vendors with one link. This allows a vendor to be able to refer any merchant's products and earn commissions. More about ClickBank...
