Today I tried to reinstall the Windows XP Media Center Edition that was preloaded with the HP Pavilion a1520n computer we have as it is getting slow and has a program installed half way - cannot be removed.
Basically I tried to reformat the hard drive but the system would not allow me to do so as the machine did not come with a Windows XP installation CD - it just came loaded with recovery files in a separate partition (drive D). I tried to create a bootable startup CD but did not know how to do it and could not find a way to do it by searching the internet. I did find from the Microsoft website ways to create bootable startup diskettes but our machine does not have a floppy drive 
I know I could format the hard drive from within BOIS (the place you normally use to set the boot sequence) but the file structure formated this way won’t be NTFS that is best for Windows XP. Click to read the rest of this entry …

Whenever I heard about a program’s claim that it will give you quick cash, I tend to ignore it right away as most other people do. No way!

If you are short of cash because of current economic downturn, you could use a few of these techniques to earn quite a lot of commissions by doing affiliate marketing according to his way. And you do not need to have a website to do that.
If you do have a website, you can use some of Alok’s techniques to boost the search engine ranking of your website.
All Alok’s techniques can be implemented manually in a relatively short time. If you want to make it even quicker, then you can consider the automation tools that Jon Leger creates for him.

Hi, I’ve bumped to a program that makes moving and reinstalling any PC program to a new or another computer easy. If you installed a software program or game on your PC and you want now to move it to another computer, e.g. a new computer, but you could not find the original installation CD, file, serial numbers or license keys, then you are going to love this program.

Converting long, long lists of keywords and phrases into all the different match types is the pain of every AdWords marketer. Frank Rumbauskas got so fed up with it that he paid a programmer to create a tool that does it all, automatically, in one click!

Every once in a while someone comes along and breaks all the usual rules of internet marketing. Like the one that says “real” marketers don’t pay for traffic. Well, I know a marketer who started out with around two hundred bucks and an idea for an e-book - and a Google AdWords account - and who *instantly* started making a huge income online and quit his last job ever a short 6 weeks later.

My website built with the WordPress blog script at http://gifttime.info got hacked recently because I have not upgraded that website WP script as often - after testing it turns out that the hacker hacked into the MySQL database to disable WP functions and displayed the hacker’s page. After removing the installation and re-installing WP from scratch the blog works OK but as soon as I restored the database backup my WP gives me a blank page.
Anyway, this hacking incidence made me search for a better way of upgrading WP than the upgrading function in Fantastico in cPanel - with Fantastico you have to login to the cPanel to make the upgrade. I wanted to look for a WP plugin that does the job.
